Job Description

This position will participate in a training program to advance their professional selling skills. The goal is to train and develop new Sales graduates by enabling them to gain insight into Leviton’s business, organizational structure and culture. The individual will be fully trained to assume an outside sales position within 18 to 24 months.  

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Train and develop knowledge of the Leviton product line and their applications in various residential, commercial and industrial markets
  2. Provide backup support to assist the sales force, reduce their administrative load, and assist them within the assigned regions
  3. Provide support to the sales force as it relates to literature and sample needs for our distributors
  4. Work with the Pricing Coordinators to understand our pricing request system, facilitate pricing quotes for jobs and stock, and expedite approvals as required 
  5. Travel periodically with the sales force or the RSM to learn all aspects of our business relationship with distributors and end users
  6. Assist in product training meetings with the sales force and RSM as required
  7. Work with others in Finance, Distribution Marketing, Technology, National Accounts, etc. as needed to insure they understand our business thoroughly
  8. Work with Leviton Customer Service Department regarding potential problems with a distributor as it relates to pending new orders. Handle pricing or inaccurate order entry serving as the “go to person” from sales to the customer

 

Education:

  • Recent graduate with Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or Business Management 

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills 
  • Ability to build relationships and rapport with employees and customers
  • Ability to take initiative and handle challenging work

 

Travel:

  • 15 – 20% of the time during the training program
