Job Description

In an ISO environment, as a member of a project team, provide project support to the business unit for the purchase of tools, equipment, components and materials used for new product development, as well as supporting sustaining engineering projects. The primary function will be to solicit and track quotations from potential suppliers, enter requisitions and follow through the supply chain process until the items are received. 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist project teams in preparing requisitions in Oracle for the purchase of components, materials, tools, equipment, etc.
  2. Attend project team meetings as needed and work on assigned activities
  3. Work with the supply chain team to assure requisitions, and PO’s are placed 
  4. Track delivery of each item and follow up with each supplier to assure they are meeting their committed schedule
  5. Check accuracy of part entries, life cycle, BOMs, and revisions in documentation systems
  6. Create document change orders to modify parts, assemblies, and BOM documentation
  7. Maintain contract files and checklist so that all key project documentation can be found quickly
  8. Coordinate with engineering to assure all drawings are released and the most recent revisions are sent to the appropriate supplier with the proper documentation
  9. Report on all activities related the purchase of these components to the various project teams

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to read and interpret project related documents (such as component specifications, MRD’s, procedure manuals, etc.)
  • Must be able to anticipate and resolve problems, bottlenecks, conflicts, etc. and communicate to the project team 
  • Must be able to work effectively within project teams as well as with outside suppliers   
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator

Education & Experience:

  • Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a technical school required
  • 1 to 4 years experience working in a technical field
  • Experience with SolidWorks required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) suite required 
  • Experience with Oracle systems preferred
