Job Description

This position assists electrical engineering personnel in design, development and assembly of electronic assemblies and assists in maintenance of the electronics labs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with assembling prototypes and test fixtures
  • Performs testing as directed and supervised by electrical engineering staff
  • Assists engineers in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and replication of product failures
  • Assists in Engineering Lab organization including equipment, materials and component inventory
  • Prepares kit of electronic components for Prototype build activity
  • Assists engineering staff on documentation needed for PCB fabrication and assembly 
  • Assists in the generation of test procedures for new products and qualification parameters
  • Performs product testing in accordance with documented test procedures
  • Evaluates electrical components for product application, as directed by engineering staff


Education & Experience:

  • An AS or BS degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology
  • 1-3 three years of experience in an R&D environment
  • Experience with electronics lab equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting electronics assemblies
  • Familiar with Schematic Capture and PCB layout. Altium experience is a plus


Skills & Abilities:

  • Capable of soldering and rework of electronic assemblies including all type of SMT components
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics and specifications
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Capable of creating technical / procedural documentation



  • 3% travel
