Job Description

This is an entry position requiring a working knowledge of the division’s data entry system and overall product configuration process.  The candidate is responsible for data creation / entry of new product configurations and for modifications to existing products, and administers all aspects of related processes required to ensure product configuration control. This position works under extensive supervision. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains part number and document number databases
  • Enters and maintains bill of material (BOM) and item master data
  • Assists new product development teams and production with timely data entry in support of project schedules
  • Under supervision, aligns processes / procedures with corporate documentation / database processes where appropriate
  • Creates and distributes reports on documentation status, product release/change status, and other reports as directed by supervisor
  • Abides by corporate and divisional policies and procedures
  • Assists new product development teams by monitoring overall project status and key upcoming milestones
  • Process Engineering Change notices
  • Assists in development of project schedules using Microsoft Project 
  • Assist with label generation and product marking requirements
  • Additional duties as assigned


Education & Experience:

  • Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school is preferred
  • 1 to 4 years of experience in the field of configuration management
  • Oracle knowledge preferred
  • MS Excel and Word knowledge
  • Solidworks or Adobe Illustrator knowledge preferred


Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent oral, written and diagrammatic communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructions, technical procedures and government regulations
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate and manipulate data using a personal computer required
